In the heart of the West Midlands there is a talented songstress ready to unleash a barrage of quality urban tinged material. her name is Keisha Jayd. This is a name that you might not have heard before but we can promise it is a name that you will be hearing a lot more about. Keisha is a talented songwriter, singer and performer that has teamed up with local record label and production company Chillout Productions and recording studio Oxygen Studios.
The story begins at the turn of 2009 when as the age of 17; Keisha entered a string of singing competitions and talent shows. After a good response from music fans and leading local music moguls Keisha began to focus on her talent for music, working hard on songwriting techniques her vocal range and above all her own unique style and sound. Now at the tender age of 19, Keisha is set to unleash a string of songs including her debut single ‘Tell Me Who’ which features up and coming Midlands rapper S-Man.
Keisha’s first single is the lead single of her forthcoming debut album which she is currently penning and recording. The track has already got the thumbs up from a string of local radio stations and tastemakers. Keisha’s music has massive crossover potential but it’s fundamentally a mixture of urban R&B and Hip-Hop flavours with a pop twist. With a sound that is very current and a vibe that is positive, the future is bright for this young Midlands based singer. With a follow-up single planned, as well as a full-length album, the future is bright for Keisha.
